Reading Time: 1 minute

The Independent reports unrest at the migrant detention centre in Safi on Monday as several migrants brandished posters demanding ‘freedom’ and ‘justice’. Mattresses were also set on fire in a sign of protest.

A second story in the paper says that an enforcement notice on the Montekristo development in Ħal Farruġ has been in suspension since 2010 after property owner Charles Polidano applied for the existing complex to be sanction by the Planning Authority.
