The Malta Independent says that the European Commission is demanding that government reviews the heavy taxation system on cars imported from the EU since 2009. The letter of formal notice argues that Maltese legislation is not in line with EU law.

The Malta Independent speaks to Abraham Aquilina, 16, Malta’s youngest local councillor who was elected in Għargħur in May. The PN councillor said that the party needs to work together to come out stronger of its current situation.
