Bologna Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has announced he’s suffering from Leukaemia, and that he while he will remain contracted with the club, at the moment. he will focus on winning the battle against the sickness.
“Given that my father died of cancer, I do regular tests. During one of these tests, I’ve been diagnosed with Leukaemia. As of Tuesday, I will start to get the treatment to beat this battle.
Earlier The Corriere dello Sport claims Sinisa Mihajlovic might have to leave his job as Bologna Coach to deal with a serious illness.
According to Saturday’s edition of the newspaper, Mihajlovic recently had tests and medics warned he should go ahead with aggressive treatment. This would take a lot out of the Serbian tactician and he would not feel ready to continue working in these circumstances.
Although the illness has not been determined, reports are suggesting that the football coach is suffering from cancer. However the report says that he will either make a statement or hold a Press conference on Saturday to explain the situation.
The 50-year-old had only taken the job from Pippo Inzaghi in late January, but transformed their fortunes, moving Bologna from the depths of the relegation zone to a 10th-place Serie A finish.
