Salvini warns that migrants taken to Lampedusa will be expelled

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini warned that 90 migrants who were taken to Lampedusa after the boat they were travelling on was intercepted, will be expelled from Italy.

Salvini said that only those who respect the rules can enter Italy.

Salvini said that Italy is already working to make sure the 90 illegal immigrants who arrived on Lampedusa will be sent back home in the next few hours.

A migrant boat with 90 people on board was intercepted by the Italian authorities on Thursday while it was heading towards the Sicilian coast. Italian security forces vessels intervened and took the migrants to the Italian island of Lampedusa.
