Salvini dismisses government crisis speculation
Deputy Italian Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini dismissed reports that the government is in crisis after a series of rows between his League party and its coalition partner, the 5-Star Movement (M5S).
Salvini said the government is moving forward and there is no chance of him giving up in comments to a local Italian radio station.
The minister also hit back at Confindustria, the Italian employers’ federation and national chamber of commerce, after it’s leader suggested it would be better to have fresh elections if the government is unable to tackle the nation’s problems, among fears that the Italian economy is stagnating.
Saying that it seems that in previous governments the big industrialists were spoilt by the left and got whatever they wanted.
