Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first hat trick for Juventus to send the club into the Champions League quarterfinals with a 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday as the Italian side fought back from a two-goal first-leg defeat.

Cristiano Ronaldo equalled Lionel Messi’s Champions League record after scoring his eighth hat-trick in the competition.

In the other match Manchester City cruised into the Champions League quarter-finals as Sergio Aguero’s brace sparked a 7-0 home thumping of Schalke and a crushing 10-2 aggregate victory.
