Red warning for heavy rains in the eastern and southern Spain

Reading Time: 1 minute

Waves break on the tourist cruise ship of the Balearia, that ran aground last August as it was approaching the port of Denia, in Alicante province, Valencia, eastern Spain.

Forecasts in Spain predict heavy rains and storms in the eastern and southern coasts of the country, which may accumulate 180 litres per square meter in 12 hours and 90 liters per square meter per hour, therefore a red warning has been issued along the Mediterranean coast.
