Photo Story: Animal shelter in Bangkok promotes fostering during the Coronavirus pandemic

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A cat named Vood, who had three operations after it had boiling oil poured over its back, walks in the infirmary at PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society) Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand.

PAWS Bangkok is an animal shelter offering adoption and fostering services while striving to help reduce the number of street animals as humanely as possible. Following the soft lockdown, PAWS has promoted fostering animals as a coping mechanism for not only the orphaned animals but also the people who take them in.

Thailand has relaxed stringent lockdown measures allowing certain businesses to resume operations after the number of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infections which causes the COVID-19 disease dropped.
