The GO Smart Hub – the only one of its kind in Malta, will be on display at GO’s stand at this weekend’s edition of the Malta Robotics Olympiad (MRO). GO’s Smart Hub guarantees an ‘always on’ Internet connection as it combines the strength of GOs True Fibre network, with the strength of its internationally certified mobile network.
This is not the only attraction as GO, through the power of its services, will be entertaining with sensory bots, a TSN Football Shot area, drone racing, a Gamers area, a Virtual Reality stand and more.
Antonio Ivankovic, GO’s Chief Commercial Officer explains how GO has been the naming partner for MRO for a number of years now and is the sole provider of True Fibre connectivity to every stand at the expo.
“We are very proud to once again be one of the main supporters of the Malta Robotics Olympiad, powering the event with GO’s unparalleled True Fibre network. GO has been an active participant in this event and is very pleased with how the event has evolved over the years. The MRO is another opportunity to bring people closer to technology and to showcase how technology can positively impact our lives by keeping us connected to what matters most to us. This is what drives us at GO and one of the reasons behind our theme for the MRO this year – ‘ALWAYS CONNECTED’,” said Antonio Ivankovic.
GO’s stand promises to be buzzing with activity. Besides the Smart Hub demo, a showcase of latest engineering genius which promises an ‘Always On’ internet connection and enhanced WiFi, children can interact with the latest Evo Ozo Bots or those more passionate about football, can measure the speed of their shot in the TSN Football Shot area and compare their scores to that of their favorite stars. Visitors can also participate in a drone-racing competition with free gifts to participants who manage to complete given tasks, enjoy a gamers’ area with the latest eSports games such as FIFA 19 and Fortnite, not to mention the game Scrape Frenzy, which was developed by one of GO’s very own employees, as well as a virtual reality space for people to experience the close-to-reality feeling enabled by 3D technology.
Visitors will also get to experience the value of Internet of Things (IOT) by means of GO’s Connect Kids and Pets devices – an IOT device that helps you to never lose contact with those most precious to you.
“We encourage everyone, whether its families with kids, or technology enthusiasts to come visit us at the MRO this weekend. We have lots of exciting things coming up and want to share this experience with our esteemed customers and the Maltese community – we certainly have something for everyone,’ said Antonio. ‘GO has been the main investor in Malta’s digital infrastructure and remains committed to continue delivering value to Maltese businesses and households,’ he concluded.
The MRO will be held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali and is open this weekend from Friday 10th between 4pm and 10pm, on Saturday 11th between 9am and 10pm and on Sunday 12th between 9am and 6pm.
