Italian police have opened an investigation after an anonymous letter with a bullet inside was sent to Matteo Salvini, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
The envelope was intercepted by the Italian postal authorities before it was delivered. The enveloped was addressed “Ministro duce, Matteo Salvini, Camera, Roma” and was made up of newspapers cuttings
Salvini reacted by saying that he has received over a hundred death threats ever since he became a minister and such episodes as that of the anonymous letter strengthen his will to continue the fight against all types of criminality in Italy.
