These are the main headlines from Malta’s newspaper front pages.
The property rental rates registered an increase of 175% in the past five years. L-Orizzont reports that the increase in the number of foreign workers was not accounted for in the changes of the legislation in 2010.

In another story, In-Nazzjon reports that the Nationalist Party has initiated a consultation process so that youths who have dyslexia can succeed in their life. The PN’s Secretary General Clyde Puli and MEP Francis Zammit Dimech discussed this during a stakeholder meeting held at Europe House.
The Malta Independent reports that the Court ruled that former EU Commissioner John Dalli’s daughters are to be tried separately. The case is related to the issue involving Louise Dalli and Claire Gauci Borda, who tother with a number of foreigners are being accused of money laundering, misappropriation of funds and fraud.
In another story, the Malta Independent refers to its flagship online interview ‘In Depth’ which discussed homosexuality. The story leads with the headline “In a democratic country, I can proclaim that homosexuality is a psychological disorder'”, quoting self-described former gay individual Matthew Grech.
Today’s Times leads with a story saying that the EU Court of Justice has turned down an application by Pilatus Bank calling for an interim remedy over claims that the European Central Bank violated its rights.
In another story, The Times reports that two members of the judiciary and a lawyer have been shortlisted for the post of new judge at the European Court for Human Rights.
