Celebrations to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Maltese French Chamber of Commerce culminated recently with a classical music concert by the Cordia String Quartet followed by a gala dinner at the Phoenicia Hotel in Floriana.
The event was attended by over 120 guests including the council and members of the Chamber, sponsors and other guests. Mr Jean Christophe Menet from the French Embassy in Malta also attended the event.
In his address, Joseph Bugeja, President of the Maltese French Chamber of Commerce described the event as a ‘milestone anniversary’ celebration by an entity that renders a valid contribution and support to the generation of business achievements between the two Republics.
“The Chamber’s Council carries out this role with deep commitment and passion and each of us feels honored to be of service towards enhancing the already very positive relations between Malta and France by continuously striving to improve its status, its image and contribution towards the French Embassy in Malta, as well as the Malta Embassy in France.”
While thanking all past Presidents and Vice Presidents who have served the Chamber over the years, Mr Bugeja added “the Chamber’s existence and values are strongly linked to the continuous support of the various loyal members who year after year continue to extend their loyalty to our Chamber,” added Joseph Bugeja.
A personalized member’s memento in commemoration of the 30th Anniversary, produced locally by Maltese craftsmen was distributed to all those present.
The Chamber thanks its main sponsors Bank of Valletta, Malta Government Investments Ltd, RCI Insurance and Speedcast for their continued support as well as MGI, Ventures Malta, ICP, Express Trailers and DF Advocates as sponsors of this event.
