Malta: Prime Minister says new measures are guided by evidence

L-Orizzont quotes Prime Minister Robert Abela who said that relaxation of measures is based on scientific facts. He expressed satisfaction at the way the country has managed the coronavirus emergency.

Another story reports that a 97-year-old man was among the five new Covid-19 cases discovered on Monday. The total number of patients from the beginning of the outbreak stands at 558 and there are 96 active cases.

The paper says that Victim Support Malta assisted people with 43 suicide attempts in one year. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the suicide prevention service run by VSM received six requests for help.
