TVM  An accident which occurred this afternoon, at around 2.25, led to the closure of Ħal Far Road, limits of Gudja, in both directions. A car and a truck were involved in a collision, with at least one person suffering injuries in the impact. Members of the Police, the Civil Protection together with a medical team were on site to assist. A person was taken to Mater Dei with an ambulance, however his condition is not yet known.

One News: Three people has been arrested in connection after the discovery of 150kg of drugs has been found through a major operation led by the Customs.

MaltaToday: Police are still actively investigating an undisclosed number of persons in connection with the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, the Criminal Court has heard.

This emerged as the Office of the Attorney General made submissions on a fresh request for bail made by the three men accused of the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia this morning.

The Malta Independent: PN MEP Francis Zammit Dimech and former Deputy Leader Tonio Borg have drawn up a draft of the terms of reference on which mediation between PN Leader Adrian Delia and PN MP Simon Busuttil will take place in the wake of a current deadlock between two opposing sides within the Nationalist Party.

Speaking to The Malta Independent, Zammit Dimech said that both he and Borg have met with Delia and have submitted the draft terms of reference. If the leader agrees, then the two will then meet with Simon Busuttil.

The Malta IndependentFormer Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has offered to mediate between his two successors Adrian Delia and Simon Busuttil in a dispute that exploded after the publication of the conclusions of the Egrant inquiry.

Gonzi, who led the PN between 2004 and 2013, has held a first meeting with Busuttil, who succeeded him at the helm of the party, on Wednesday morning.

Gonzi had earlier met with current leader Adrian Delia on Tuesday, with Delia and Gonzi meeting again Thursday morning.

Newsbook:  Sources have described a meeting held between current PN Leader Adrian Delia and former PN leader Lawrence Gonzi as fairly positive’. Gonzi is mediating in the current uneasy situation among the PN parliamentary group, and the sources who spoke to Newsbook.com.mt said that the meeting was quite lengthy and ended on a cautiously  optimistic note with an outlook to a possible détente. The same sources said that both sides expressed a strong desire to reach an agreement and that all parties should limit their public statements to increase the possibility that the meetings between the parties bear fruit.
