Madeleine McCann’s parents still hopeful she will be found
In an extensive interview with the Daily Telegraph, Clarence Mitchell, the family McCann spokesman, offers a rare insight into the case of Madeleine McCann. He said that Gerry and Kate McCann remain hopeful that eventually she will be found alive after many years.
He insisted that there remains hope in view of the complete absence of any evidence that Madeleine has been physically harmed. He added that this gives the parents a sense that their daughter may well still be alive.
Clarence said that he believes Maddie was chosen, and abducted because of a a sexual motive . “A child was taken to order from that room” he stated.
Madeleine Beth McCann disappeared mysteriously on the evening of 3 May 2007 from her bed in a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal while the parents and friends dined in a restaurant 55 metres away. Together with Madeleine in the apartment there were her two-year-old twin siblings who were untouched.
