Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have just revealed their new-born baby to the world.

The infant is believed to be the first mixed-race child born to a senior member of the Royal Family in centuries.

He is seventh in line to the throne, and will not be bestowed the title HRH unless the Queen steps in.

Royalty observers said that Under Peerage law, as the eldest son of the Duke of Sussex he holds by ‘courtesy’ the second title The Queen bestowed at the marriage, in Letters Patent under the Great Seal, which is an earldom. They added that therefore, the infant is Earl of Dumbarton.”

Windsor celebrates birth royal baby

Baby Sussex’s birth comes less than a year after Harry married the American former actress in a star-studded ceremony in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, became engaged after dating for 16 months after being set up on a blind date in London by a mutual friend.

Alexander and Spencer are the new favourites among the bookmakers.

A rush of bets has been placed on Spencer, in honour of Harry’s mother Diana, Princess of Wales, whose maiden name was Spencer.

Spencer is at 7/2 at Sky Bet, while Alexander is 11/2.

Harry said on Monday he and Meghan are still deciding on a name.

“Still thinking about names. The baby is a little bit overdue, so we’ve had a little bit of time to think about it,” the duke said.

The Queen is at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and is expected to meet her new grandson at some point today.

Speaking in Berlin where he and the Duchess of Cornwall are on an official royal visit, Prince Charles said: “We couldn’t be more delighted at the news and we’re looking forward to meeting the baby when we return.”
