Bulgarian border police seized nearly 1,500 kilograms of cannabis at a checkpoint on the Serbian border.

The drugs were discovered hidden inside a truck among linoleum during a routine check at the Kalotina checkpoint. Indications are that the drugs were destined for Turkey.

Bulgarian customs officials said that this is one of the biggest ever consignments of cannabis to be seized in Bulgaria.
