A Brexit without a backstop is as damaging to Ireland as a no-deal Brexit, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said.

Varadkar told Irish public radio RTÉ on Saturday that he did not see a fundamental difference between the two scenarios for Ireland, which seeks to avoid a hard border with Northern Ireland.
