Bar, restaurant turnover in Italy down 50%

The turnover of Italy’s bar and restaurants is still over 50% down three weeks after emerging from lockdown, catering category association FIPE said Thursday.
Staff has returned to pre-crisis levels in only a third of establishments, it said.

For 53.5% of the companies interviewed, are feeling the lack of tourists, especially foreigners, and 46.5% also complain about the lack of local customers.
