According to Alarm Phone, the group was saved by the commercial vessel ‘Asso 25’ and is now heading towards the Sicilian port of Pozzallo, sources said on Friday.

Earlier reports had indicated that the ship was is heading to Lampedusa.
Alarm Phone is alleging that the vessel with the group of migrants on board had issued a call for help but this was ignored by the Maltese authorities.
