Following Benjamin Netanyahu’s revelations, where he accused Iran of lying about its nuclear activity, US President Donald Trump said that these revelations proved he was ‘100% right’ about Iran. US President Donald Trump said that in seven years, that deal will have expired and Iran is free to go ahead and create nuclear weapons. Trump said this is not acceptable.

Trump saidNetanyahu’s press conference along with other recent events show that he has been “100 percent right” about Iran and Iran’s behaviour is “just not an acceptable situation.” He points to missile tests, saying Iran is “not sitting back idly.” He has declined to say whether he will withdraw from the 2015 nuclear deal, but this afternoon says if the US does pull out, he still may negotiate a “real agreement.”

In a nationally televised address, Netanyahu said that Iran’s secret nuclear files reveal that Iran’s nuclear program was designed to “test and build nuclear weapons.” This information was revealed after Israel obtained 55,000 documents and 183 CDs of information from Iran’s “nuclear archives.” He added that the US has vouched for the authenticity of the secret archive obtained by Israel, and that Israel will make the documents available to the UN atomic agency and other countries. Netanyahu slammed the Iran nuclear deal, signed in 2015 as “terrible” and accused Tehran of continually lying about its nuclear ambitions.

An unnamed European diplomat was quoted by The Times of Israel, saying that while Netanyahu’s revelations that Iran lied about its nuclear ambitions before signing a 2015 deal with world powers hurt Tehran’s standing, it is the reason why the EU wants to preserve the 2015 accord. ” We made the nuclear deal precisely because we don’t trust the Iranians, not because we considered them very trustworthy.”
