In the first Citizens’ Dialogue ever to be held on Gozo, the European Commission Representation in Malta will be discussing the future of the EU’s Cohesion Policy with two EU Commissioners: Corina Cretu in charge of Regional Policy, and Karmenu Vella responsible for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
The Cohesion Policy is behind the hundreds of thousands of EU-funded projects all over Europe aimed at promoting economic and social cohesion and reducing disparities between the EU’s various regions. How will Malta and Gozo benefit from it in the future? Citizens are invited to attend and field questions the Commissioners.
The Minister for Gozo, Justyne Caruana and Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds and Social Dialogue, Aaron Farrugia will also participate. The Minister for European Affairs and Equality, Helena Dalli will be delivering the opening remarks, and the dialogue will be moderated by Dr Vanni Xuereb (Malta-EU Steering & Action Committee).
The Citizens’ Dialogue will be held on Wednesday 18 April at 5.30pm at the Grand Hotel Mgarr, Gozo. Those who wish to attend can register by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or on 27090666.
